In The Invisible Summit , the mountain is not entirely revealed. It can be guessed, felt, and seen through. This work explores what is beyond us: inner landscapes, the raw forces of nature, and that point of balance between power and silence.
I live in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, a region where mountains undulate on the horizon, between deep forests and tranquil lakes. It is from these landscapes that I draw my inspiration and the materials that nourish my works. Fallen branches, leaves, dried flowers, ashes: each element I incorporate is carefully harvested, carrying memory and authenticity.
By linking these fragments of life to painting, I seek to create a dialogue between the ephemeral and the eternal, to materialize the soul of the landscape more than its form. Abstraction gives way to pure emotion, to the gentle vertigo of a summit that one feels deeply.
The invisible summit is an invitation to contemplation, grounding, and imagination. A poetic trace of the intimate connection between nature and humanity.
